Dear Answer Team,
How come on old color TV shows in from the 60's and 70's people faces
looks so damn shiny? I mean, did they grease up their skin back then
or what? Was it something that occurred normally or was it something
that was done in preparation for the scene? Was this look considered
aesthetically pleasing? I think it looks awful. Any insight you can
provide would be most helpful. I am interested in what caused the
shininess and why it was praised. I've been wondering this for years.
Thanks,
Michael
Is a thesbian a homosexual female actor?
The first Televisions were very light intensive to get a good picture
and did not have the same range grays to use as in later years.
Thesbians with light skin and blonde hair where prefered because they
looked more natural on film.
I wonder if some of the problem might be degradation of the prints.
